Windows

Install the desktop app

  1. 1
Download the installer.Use Download on a Windows computer. The installer is named kra-Setup.exe.
  2. 2
Open the downloaded file.Find it in your browser's downloads or your Downloads folder.
  3. 3
Review any SmartScreen warning. If it says “Windows protected your PC” for this file, and you choose to trust this unsigned build, select More info, then Run anyway if available. “Unknown publisher” is expected for this unsigned build.
  4. 4
Finish installation and open Krayton.Sign in or create your account. If you do not have an active subscription, follow the purchase option to activate access.

If Run anyway is unavailable, your Windows security settings or organization may block unsigned apps. Contact support; keep your security protections enabled.

macOS

Choose your Mac's build

  2. 2
Download the matching ZIP.The macOS Download button lets you choose Apple Silicon or Intel. Expand Choose a build beside Download, then select Intel Mac or Apple Silicon.
  3. 3
Extract and move the app.Double-click the ZIP, then drag kra.app into Applications and try opening it.
  4. 4

FAQ

Questions.

Do I need my own agent accounts?

Yes. Krayton drives the CLIs you already have installed, like Claude Code and Codex, with your own logins.

How does shared context work?

Krayton keeps a shared recorded conversation and a separate session for each agent. Switching transfers recorded history within a size budget; model context windows and provider compaction still apply. Read about shared context and its limits.

Does my code leave my machine?

Krayton itself is local-first: your keys, code and chats stay on your computer. Each agent still talks to its own provider.

Which platforms are supported?

Linux, Windows and macOS. Builds are in preview, and the Download button shows what is ready.

What does it cost?

$5 USD for your first month, then $10 USD per month. Paddle shows any tax and the final total before payment. Cancel anytime from your account.
